Hoppy Spring!

We have been enjoying the wonderful warmer weather. The Saturday before Easter we went out to my brother's for their annual Easter Egg Hunt. They have a great twist on the hunt... all the kids go racing down to the pasture to find the goodies, but they can not put any treats in their own basket. The idea is to be more Christlike and think of others first. It was our first time attending and I am sure we will go again! AJ was also able to pet one of their lambs and meet the chickens.

Saturday night AJ left his shoe out on the couch for the Easter Bunny to find so he knew where to put his treats. (This was a family tradition in Jill's family.) Sunday morning we woke up and AJ had a few toys to play with by his shoe. We then went to church as a family. This doesn't happen very often because I have a calling up at the WSU stake, but I went to RS up there and then skipped out to go to church with my family. AJ is getting to be a little handful in church. He likes to be on the move and is not to fond of being confined so church is a bit difficult right now. I enjoyed spending Easter with my family. After church we went over to my parent's home for a nice dinner and the FHE. Dad gave a great lesson on realizing what blessings we have and to be thankful for the. All in all it has been a wonderful few weeks!

Friday favorite

We took AJ to the park for the first time a few weeks ago. I LOVE this picture of AJ and his Dad! I have it as my desktop and will be getting it printed up to hang inour home. Just thought I would share!

One year ago today

It was a year ago today that we were notified by Children's Aid Society that we had been chosen to adopt a baby boy. WOW! What a difference a year makes! AJ is now almost 10 months old and is truly the light of our lives. My favorite sound is his little giggle. His smile can change a bad day to a good one in a matter of seconds. We feel so blessed to be parents!

I have two new favorite I want to share... About a month ago I went to the podiatrist and was told I should use a "pedi-egg" on my feet for the dry skin and cracks. I was a bit skeptical but I followed the Dr's orders and bought one... HOLY COW! It had made a BIG difference and it is SO EASY to use! I would highly recommend it. FYI The Dr. said not to use the imitation pedi-egg. Make sure it is the name brand.

The other new favorite a new brand of nylons. I needed nylons and was a running late so I stopped by Harmon's to buy a pair. They didn't have the brand I usually buy so I bought these. They have worn like leather! Well, maybe I am exaggerating a bit, but I usually go through a pair of nylons after two time wearing them, but I wore these SEVERAL times! So this is a new favorite too!

Dreaded Gombu

I found myself logging on wishing someone had posted to my blog about what what has been going on lately...there could be cute pictures of AJ crawling or pictures of a house we are looking at or an entry about when we have taken AJ out in the baby backpack or the Valentine's Day party we had at our house or the beautiful roses Kurt gave me for Valentines... these are just a few of the entries I could make, but I find myself not writing about any of them. I have the dreaded gombu, I don't know what else to call it. I seem to get a really bad chest cold for a week or so and then I get better for a few days and then WHAM! It hits me again. This has been happening since January and I am getting sick and tired of it. I am now off to take some more cold medicine and go to sleep. One day I will post again, I promise!

Vista

A few weeks ago we upgraded the memory on our computer. At that same time we decided to bite the bullet and upgrade to Vista too. UGH!!! I am having major issues! For one I cannot add pictures easy to this blog. They used to re size to fit on their own, but not anymore. I have several posts in draft mode waiting for me to add pictures. One day I will figure it out...if you have any ideas feel free to let me know! I forget what a pain it is when you get a new computer or update your computer...I have had to reload my software and some will not load, I lost all my bookmarks so some sites I loved I can know longer visit because I can't remember the addresses, I just clicked on my favorites and wha-la. But no more. Technology is wonderful when it is working properly!
