Happy Halloween

This year we had a Terrifically Terrifying Triceratops and a Big Bad Blue Monster with 4 arms and three eyes!  They charmed all those who they came in contact with.
I had a little fun with lunch!

Hot Chocolate Break

Kurt and his Dad were shoveling some dirt outside and of course AJ was right there helping.  It was a fairly cold day so I brought out some hot chocolate to them.  AJ was delighted!  He felt like he was just one of the guys!

AJ's First Football Game

AJ and Grandpa
AJ went with Grandpa and Daddy to his first football game at Weber State.  He thought it was fun to see the guys "hitting" each other. Kurt and my Dad said he did pretty good, got a little tired at the end, but snuggled up with Daddy and was fine!

Butterfly Pajamas

AJ received a pair of Buzz Lightyear PJ's from his cousin.  He doesn't know who Buzz is yet so he calls them his "butterfly pajamas." I think it's pretty darn cute!

Jim Fay

I am on the Advisory Board for the Department of Child and Family Studies at Weber State University.  As one who is on the Board, I was quite involved in the Famlies Alive Conference recently hosted at WSU.  I was able to attend as a community member, participant, moderator, facilitator and board member.  As board member I got a few perks; one of those was to attend a private dinner with Jim Fay before his opening keynote address.  There were about 25 people at the dinner.  It was great to be able to meet Jim and hear how Love and Logic came into existence.  He is as personable and charming as I thought he would be, it was a very enjoyable evening.

Pretty Little Pumpkin

AJ made this in his preschool class, I thought it was a great idea...dryer vent, wood stem and tulle!

Guava Cake

Kurt had told me since before we were married his favorite cake was Guava cake.  I had NO IDEA what that was.  I tried to make it several times only for him to look at what I had made in disgust and say that was NOT the recipe he likes.  I told him I gave up until he takes me to Hawaii and I find out what it is for myself!  Well, we went to Hawaii in February and I found out what it is. :)  I was able to find a fairly good recipe online and make him a cake that I must say looked VERY SIMILAR to the one we ate in Hawaii.  Kurt was impressed!  I brought the Guava cake and Guava filled cupcakes out to his work for his birthday.  They were both a big hit!  Maybe he should bring me to Hawaii more often! :)

Mo Tab Singing Itsy Bitsy Spider?

We were watching General Conference today and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sang, I am a Child of God.  AJ started to sing along with it and then looked at me and said, "Mom, are they going to sing Itsy Bitsy Spider next?"
