Toad's
We bought a family pass for some activities at Toad's so we decided to take the kids miniature golfing. AJ thought he was the next Jack Nicklaus! He had a great time, Griff loved throwing the golf ball more than hitting it, but he also loved retrieving it from the hole. AJ was a little upset when he couldn't find his ball after the last hole. He told the lady at the counter at the last ball all of the balls disappeared!

Opa fell down the stairs!
I had just put Griff to bed and when I walked out of his room, AJ came running up to me saying loudly, "Opa fell down the stairs and there's blood!" I immediately went downstairs to find John had fallen down the stairs and had cut his face. Kurt was telling him he thought he needed stitches and John was telling him he could just put some tape on it. When I saw the cuts I thought they needed stitches too, but I thought of a way to get a "second" opinion. I told him we had a neighbor that was a doctor, I wasn't sure what kind of doctor he was, but I knew he had stitched up another neighbor. I asked if he would accept His opinion if he needed stitches or not, he agreed he would. I then placed the call. Our wonderful neighbor came down to our house less than 5 minutes later. He agreed John's face needed stitches and thought he probably needed them in two different spots on his face. He said he could take John over to his office and get it done so we wouldn't need to go to the emergency room. I told him that was not necessary, I didn't call him to actually stitch him up I called for an opinion whether or not stitches were needed. He said it wouldn't be a problem and it would save at least 3-4 hours waiting in the emergency room. I then decided to ask him what kind of doctor he was...get this...he is a maxillofacial surgeon! I started to giggle. I had NO idea I had called a face surgeon to look at my father-in-law's cuts on his face! We all readily agreed that going to his office was the best idea! All is well now. Opa is healing great. It's so nice to live in a neighborhood you feel comfortable enough calling a neighbor for help. It's a blessing to have neighbors who are willing to help too!

Fair better than fair!
We went to the fair two nights in a row, and I told Kurt I wanted to get a funnel cake, but each time the lines were horrendous so we didn't do it. On the last night of the fair as I was getting the kids ready for bed, I couldn't find Kurt. He had gone back to the fair for a third time and waited in line to get me a funnel cake. I LOVE my husband!

I officially joined Facebook. I know, I know it has been a long time coming! But I did it! It is kind of funny because I didn't realize it automatically gets everyone from your email address book so I invited lot's of people to be my friend. (Insurance guy, realtor,:)) I have also reconnected with some old friends, it has been quite fun. Although I find myself wanting to spend time on my blog rather than Facebook posts, because I look at this as more of a family history. But it has been fun to follow friends and family members!

AJ & a fan?
I had many errands to run and at one of them AJ was given a Lightening McQueen foam fan. I thought it was pretty cute so I let him hold it while we went to our next stop. Low and behold the fan was actually a pen! This is what I found when I went to get AJ out of the car.

It's been a while!
Okay I had a little time today to sit down and catch up on a few posts. I still have at least 10 more to do, but at least I have got April done! :) I am a bit behind, but I am working on it! Just wanted to let you know!I read A Stolen Life: A Memoir by Jaycee Lee Dugard this week. It seems so amazing to me she is as normal as she is. May her and her children be blessed!
Kurt and I also went to see the last Harry Potter movie on Tuesday. We hadn't planned to, but we saw the 3D version. I don't think the 3D effects were worth the extra $4. The movie was what I expected---good, but the book is MUCH better!
